Disclaimer

By buying or being issued tickets for experiences for Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience you are deemed to have accepted and agree to the on-site event rules and adhere to the Terms and Conditions below.

 

On-site Event Rules

 

We ask that all customers comply with the following on-site event rules:

● No smoking, alcohol, food or drink (except water bottles) is permitted within Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience. There will be an opportunity to buy an ice lolly during your visit and there are lots of great food places to buy food nearby.

● Abusive or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in immediate exclusion from the event.

● If you notice any suspicious or dangerous behaviour during the event, please notify a member of staff immediately.

● Please follow all Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience staff instructions in the event of an incident or emergency.

● We actively encourage baby-wearing and suggest that you leave the buggy in the car due to space constraints within the experience which is over two floors. Please be prepared to bring all of your valuables with you through the experience. Any valuables left at the buggy park are left at the owners risk. We can accept no liability for belongings left unattended.

● Pets are not permitted inside the venue, except for registered assistance animals.

● In order to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the experience, please ensure all mobile phones are either turned off or on silent whilst inside the experience. We politely ask guests to refrain from making calls inside the experience. You are permitted to leave and come back (within your 90-minute session) if you do need to take a call.

 

General Terms and Conditions

Ticketing and admission

 

● All Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience tickets are issued as e-tickets. Your confirmation email includes a QR code for scanning. Please have the QR code ready to show on your mobile device at the entrance. A valid e-ticket on mobile or tablet device must be produced to get into the event. If you do not have access to a smart phone, please contact Barbie@bakehousefatory.co.uk and we will be able to arrange printing for you.

● Please check your tickets on receipt carefully and contact us immediately if there is a mistake.

● Your ticket entitles you exclusively to the number of child and adult admissions purchased.

● Each ticket admits and includes one entry to the experience for 90 minutes at your chosen timeslot only. Tickets are only valid for the session date and time selected at booking. After this point, you will not be able to re-enter the experience and tickets / wristbands will not be valid later that day or any day thereafter.

● Please ensure you allow 10 minutes prior to your session to include time for check-in and allow for some time at the end for purchasing any souvenirs of your visit. Upon arrival, all ticket holders will receive a time-coded wristband which will allow our staff to help to guide you through the experience.

● All tickets should be pre-booked online wherever possible. Should you require additional tickets we highly recommend advance booking online anytime up to a session start time to avoid disappointment. However, there will be some tickets available for purchase on the door, subject to availability.

● Please note we only accept debit or credit card or contactless payments – no cash.

● Tickets are required for all attendees including

- Adults 18 years & over

- Young people 15 -17 years old

- Children aged 14 years and under

- Children over 2 years old

You may be asked for proof of age at reception. 

●  All children 14 years and under MUST be accompanied by an adult ticket holder over the age of 18. Anyone attending the event, may be required to verify their age.

● We will be unable to help with any enquiries relating to booked tickets from persons who are not the named person who bought the original tickets.

● We cannot accept liability for tickets passed to a third party or any transactions between third parties.

● We cannot accept any responsibility or liability for tickets NOT purchased directly from our ticket site or website.  We will be unable to help with any enquiries specifically related to booked tickets from persons who are not the named person who bought the original tickets.

● You must not use tickets as prizes in promotions, sweepstakes, hospitality packages, auctions, lotteries or competitions (including those used for charity) without our prior written consent.

● A ticket obtained in breach of the terms, or which in our reasonable opinion is being used or is intended to be used in breach of the terms, shall be void. This may include you being refused entry to the Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience or the ticket being cancelled, without notification. No compensation will be provided in such circumstances and we reserve the right to withhold any refund.

● The management of the event reserves the right to refuse ticket holders admission in reasonable circumstances including for health and safety, licensing reasons or where a ticket is void. The management of the event also reserves the right to request that ticket holders leave the venue at any point on reasonable grounds and may take any appropriate action to enforce this right. By way of example, the event organisers may remove a ticket holder who: 1) has behaved in the venue in a manner which, in the reasonable opinion of the event management has, or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other visitors; or 2) uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provokes or behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace; or 3) in the reasonable opinion of the venue is acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs; or no refunds will be given to ticket holders who are refused entry or ejected due to their own behaviour as suggested in, but not limited to the examples above.

 

Late Arrivals

 

● If you are over 10 minutes late for your booking time, we cannot guarantee that you will be allowed entry to the venue, and you may need to buy new tickets to come back at a later time or on another day (subject to availability.)  There will be no refunds if you miss your booked session. We advise you to allow plenty of time for parking, specially at busy times.

●  Please contact our team by email if you have any concerns. We endeavour to respond to emails within 48 hours.

Amendments to bookings

 

● Tickets are non-refundable - Tickets can be transferred to an alternative date or time within the event period Saturday 30th September - Sunday 7th January (subject to availability.)

● Amendments to a booking must be made at least 48 hours in advance of your original schedule start time, subject to availability. If there is no availability for future dates, tickets are non-refundable. In order to be able to amend your booking you will need to have registered for a ticketing user account.

● If you have not registered for an account our team may be able to assist you.  Contact our team via Barbie@bakehousefactory.co.uk. Please note that we aim to respond to emails within 48 hours.

● You are welcome to pass your tickets to a third party if you are unable to attend your booked session. If you choose to give your ticket to another person, you do NOT need to notify the venue of the change of name, they will just need to have the booking name, booking reference number and QR code and know the booking name. The child and adult numbers must also correspond with the tickets purchased.

 

Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities

 

● The first two sessions on Wednesdays and Sundays are dedicated SEND Sessions that will be quieter with no music, flashing lights and a reduced capacity of visitors. Please refer to the SEND sessions section of the ticket booking site for dates and times.

There are limited SEND sessions available. These sessions have been adapted for guests for whom on-SEND sessions may be inaccessible. If this does not sound like you, please consider booking a different session so we can reserve SEND sessions for those who will benefit most.

● We offer free PA essential companion tickets for customers requiring additional ticketing information: We offer free PA/Essential companion tickets, so if you are supporting someone with additional needs and require a companion ticket, please select a Carer Ticket.

Please bring a copy of one of the following with you:

-        A Nimbus Access Card with the +1 symbol. For more information, visit the Access Card website.

-        Blind or partially sighted registration certificate (BD8 or CVI certificate.)

-        A personal letter from the GP, community nurse or social worker.

-        Benefit award letters.

-        Copy of a blue badge (we'd need to see both sides.)

Health and Safety

 

● Ticket holders must comply with all relevant statutes, safety announcements and venue regulations whilst attending the event. If ticket holders have any special requirements or concerns about any special effects which may be featured at the event, prior notice should be provided when ordering tickets. Special effects may include, without limitation, sound, audio visual, or lighting effects.

● Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience venue is well-ventilated and is cleaned regularly in between sessions and at the end of every day. In the interests of protecting both the public and staff members please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.

● By purchasing a ticket you confirm that you understand your obligation under this term and if you are found to be in breach of these requirements this will result in refusal of entry.  No refunds will be given to ticket holders who are refused entry or ejected due to failing to adhere to these requirements whilst attending Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience.

 

Photography and filming

 

● There are selfie opportunities at certain points throughout the experience and we encourage all of our visitors to take as many photos as they like and share with our hashtag #BarbieYCBATheExpereince. There will also be opportunities to purchase souvenir photographs of your visit at the end of each experience. Commercial filming is not allowed within the experience without prior permission, please contact Barbie@bakehousefactory.co.uk for any enquiries.

●  At times there may be the presence of a professional photographer or videographer inside the venue.  By purchasing tickets, you agree to photos or videos being taken with the possibility that these may be used by the organisers to promote this or future events. If for any reason you do not wish for you or any member of your group to be recorded or photographed, please notify our team on arrival and we will ensure your wishes are adhered to.

 

Food and drink policy

 

● In the interests of health and safety, you are not permitted to eat in the venue other than the ice-lollies which are available for sale. Bottled water is allowed for refreshment whilst within the venue.

Toilets facilities

● Visitors needing to use the toilet facilities during their time with us will be able to leave and re-enter the attraction by showing their wristband. This will only be valid within the 90- minute time slot associated with your ticket(s). The nearest public toilets are located on the second floor across from Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience.

 

Souvenirs and Merchandise

 

● There will be the opportunity to have a photo taken against a greenscreen with different career choices as part of Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience. You will have the option to purchase copies of these souvenir photographs at the end of your experience. There will also be a variety of event merchandise items that you can purchase such as dolls, bespoke keyrings, limited edition t- shirts, and tote bags.

● Unfortunately, photos from Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience can only be purchased as part of the event and we cannot print photographs after you leave. Photos and merchandise must be paid for on the day of the event. Photos will not be kept on file and are deleted after 48 hours.  You will however have the option to receive a digital copy of any photograph that you purchase.

 

Use of personal details and Data Protection

 

● The organiser collects data supplied by you for the purpose of facilitating your booking. When purchasing your tickets you will be given the opportunity to ‘opt in’ or ‘out’ to receive additional information from Mattel or the Bakehouse Factory about future events and promotions etc. Payment for the tickets has been taken via a secure payment gateway and the data is not collected or stored by the organiser.

 

Liability

 

● Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to the event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk. Neither the organiser nor the venue (Meadowhall) will not be responsible for any loss, theft or damage of your personal belongings, other than caused as a result of the event organiser’s negligence or that of the venue or other breach of statutory duty.

● Other than liability for death or personal injury resulting from the organiser’s negligence, the organiser and its employees or agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage howsoever arising, including without limitation any distress, inconvenience or anxiety caused during the course of any experience and/or during evacuation from the venue in the event of closure or accident.

 

Changes to the event

 

● The organiser of the event reserves the right to make alterations to the published event programme where reasonably necessary.

 

Cancelled and rescheduled events

 

● It is your responsibility to ascertain whether an event has been cancelled or rescheduled and the date and time of any rescheduled event. Where an event is cancelled or rescheduled, the organiser will use the event organiser’s reasonable endeavours to notify you using the details you provided to the organiser at the time of ordering.

● The organiser does not guarantee that you will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the event. It is your responsibility to inform the organiser of any change to the contact address, telephone number or email address that you provide at the time of ordering.
